I am a science writer and feminist academic focusing on issues of gender, embodiment and dis/ability in the history of medicine and the life sciences. My research and teaching interests include feminist science studies, North American studies, environmental theory, and queer and feminist studies. I am a Guest Researcher in gender & science at the Image Knowledge Gestaltung cluster and teach in the M.A. Gender Studies program at Humboldt University in Berlin. In parallel with my research, I work across the digital humanities, experimental narrative, nonfiction, multimedia and performance. I hold a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies from Stony Brook University in New York.
